Today’s praise and worship scene is largely defined by what one may hear on Christian radio. Before the invention of the radio itself, there were hymns. A hymn is a type of song, and partially synonymous with devotional song, specifically written for the purpose of adoration or prayer. The literal definition from the Greek is: “a song of praise.”

 Please join us for this reprise of last year’s hit event. This “Family Hymn Sing,” will see us gather around the piano and sing some of the classics together. We’ll explore the origin of some well-known hymns, along with what motivated the composers and lyricists to create these beloved songs to the Lord. This event is open to all the family: children, adults, and children at heart alike.

In this exciting class, you will learn how THE recent history and current events have set the stage for the Palestinian problem. This is one of the most important issues of our day and is the backdrop to the unfolding of end-time events.
